Buelah's trip to Pet Smart

I took Buelah to Pet Smart last night to pick out her new barkday toy.  Buelah LOVES her babies...she also loves to destuff those babies but she likes them destuffed just as much.  So we get there and they have this huge pyramid of Beta Fish set up near the entrance.  Each little fish is in it's own little jar and there must have been several hundred of them.  She saw those things and the trip was over.  Try as I might I could not convince her that she wanted to be anywhere near anything but those fish.  She just sat there happily staring at them swimming around.  After about five minutes I picked her up and carried her back to where the toys are.  No way....in a flash she was back to those fish.  So instead of a toy, Buelah now has a beta.  Her name is Betty...at least I think it is a her.  Of course I had to get a bowl and all of the fish stuff and she is now sitting on a table where Buelah can spend the entire day staring at her....which believe me she is doing.  Fortunately there is no way that Buelah or the others can reach the table so I would say that Betty is pretty safe. 
Sometimes they sure can surprise us!  She usually freaks over new toys.  Who would have thought that she would want a fish for her barkday!  :)

 :scratch:   Oh my....  That is definately and interesting choice for her to make...   How cute though...   Emmy loves to watch our fish also...    But, a fish over a new toy????   Very odd, indeed....    Smooches and Belly Rubs to you sweet girl....

Wow, I woulda never thought our babies would pick a beta fish over a toy!!!  Our babies do surprise us at times.   :thinik:....Buelah, enjoy your beta Betty....I am glad you had a really nice Birthday :apls:

Oh Buelah you are a wonder.  Your mom should take a video of you and put it up on You Tube - you'd be famous.  Whenever I would take Sam and Eddie to PetSmart our first stop would be to see the Parakeets.  Eddie could care less about them, but Sam, dear Sam, would stand up and talk to them for a few minutes.  And of course we had to make that our last stop before paying so Sam could say good bye to "his" birds.

Eddie, dis is Buelah and I agwee with you COMPLETELY!  You sound like da perfect boyfwend for ME!  Now you must know dat I am da QUEEN of our house an I am VEWWWWWWWY picky bout who I socialize wif but I do think dat we would make an awful good couple!  If you send mama yer email address she will send you some more pictures of me.  Course, I got to approve dem first cuz I only want you to see me looking my best!
Do you like to chase lizards?  Do you have lizards where you live?  Do you like pupperoni? Do you like to sleep under da blankies?   Do you like to destuff toys?  How do you feel bout FISH?????  I LOVE my new fish!  Mama sez dat she is gonna take some piccies of me with my new fish.  Tell your mama dat I need to see some pictures of my new boyfriend.  Bye for now Eddie.....

Wow, Buelah!  You got a beta-fish!  We have one, too!  Ours is red and his name is Buddy!  Buddy came to us as a "foster" fish....Mom's best friend who she worked with took a two month leave from work and she left Buddy in Mom's care at the office.  Then, Mom's friend retired and she said that she couldn't take Buddy home, cuz she has a C-A-T, named Mack, that would have Buddy as a treat!  So, she gave Buddy to Mom and Pop and us.  If your beta looks like Buddy, then it's a boy-fish.......the girl beta fishes are a lot smaller in size.  And, the betas (especially the boys) can't be together cuz they'll fight.....that's why they are called the Japenese Fighting Beta Fish.....Here is a picture of Buddy.   When they want to fight, they'll "puff" up.....their faces get bigger and round and it looks like they are puffing their cheeks out and their fins get real big and spread out...........Buddy was doing this in the picture cuz he wanted to fight the camera!    That is too cute!! I love that she picked out a fish.  Porky loves to stare at the lizards and turtles when we go to stores like that.
