Back in The Saddle, Again . . .

Yes, Cowboys and Cowgirls and all you little pupper critters, Ol' Doxherding Karen is back online and back at the computer!

I am typing on my new Macbook Pro.  This thing is mighty nice!  It's gonna take some getting used to, but all in all I think I'll be happy.

I am supposed to be wireless, but I can't get my Macbook to recognize my Zoom wireless modem.  So for now, I'm using the Ethernet cable.  I spent an hour on the phone with a Zoom tech support guy, but he finally gave up and said call Apple.  So tomorrow I'll call them and see if we can solve this.  After, all, Tomorrow Is Another Day!

Chattanooga was a great trip, even if all I ever saw of the city was the inside of the Hamilton Place mall.  It was so hot that D'Niel and I spent each day seeing a movie, then wandering the mall.  He took me to a grunge/goth/bizarro place called Hot Topic, where the heavy metal music blew out my eardrums at around 120 decibels and after 20 minutes of standing there looking SO out of place, he finally choose something, I paid, then I immediately marched him to the Baskin Robbins store for an emergency chocolate sundae.  DIET BE DAMMED!!  We were talkin' life or death, here!  I mean, I survived L.A. in the 60's and 70's.  Taking me back for another round was just wrong, ya know?

We saw Oscar history in the making.  If John Travolta doesn't win best supporting actor/actress, then there is no hope left in Hollywood!  Go and see it, it is great!

The Bourne Ultimatum - This better be the last one. That's the Dachshund Ultimatum!

As soon as I get a cable for the camera, I'll upload some pictures.  Plus I have a potential youtube of Roscoe going crazy at the windshiel wipers to the sound of Sting singing "Heavy Clouds - No Rain."  Very funny.

Whenever I go visit family, I spend time in Hamilton Place too- I swear that mall gets bigger and bigger every year!
