I Had Weekend Peach Patrol Duty

Sarge here:  I am one tired doggity!  I had weekend peach patrol duty aka staying with Mom and Pop in the kitchen while they put up peaches from our "dwarf" peach tree!  Looie was sacked out on one of our round beds (in the living room) -- he didn't pull no peach patrol duty!  I stayed with Mom and Pop the entire time they were working on the peaches.  Mom finally put a bed in the kitchen for me -- the floor/rug was getting kinda hard but I stuck it out!  So, all in all, Mom and Pop canned/froze 32 pints of peaches -- all home grown from our little peach tree (but it's really not so little).  We had approximately 60 pounds of peaches to do.  :thumb: :thumb:

Auntie Sandi, I very politely flipped a piece of peach away with my nose when Mom tried to give me a bite earlier in the week.  I don't like peaches.....thank you very much~~~Sargey

Wholly Moley...60 lbs of peaches?? That is 5-6 doxies worth! I'm tired just thinking about it but I'll bet they are delicious and how neat you have your own peach tree.

Good boy Sarge to oversee the doings in the kitchen! Hallie would have been right next to you...and I would have been sacked out next to Looie. LOL. Hallie would also have politely refused the peach. She's not much on fruit, but she loves raw lettuce and carrots.

Cookie would have devoured the peach- she loves fruit.  She got some pineapple tonight. :)

I am impressed- 60 pounds of peaches!  I just love fresh fruit right off the tree.  Great idea to can and freeze them and enjoy them in the winter too!

We have a pixie nectarine and we get quite a bit of it. Its funny seeing the guys next to it as its not much taller than them.
My sister has a about an acre of fruit trees and I hate it as I'm not happy till I try them all and then I suffer the next day.
