Ozzy here - we went on a weekend trip!

Last Friday, I got to go for a looong goferide.  When we stopped, we are in St. Louis, at a relative's house.  I was happy to see them - UNTIL - I remembered that this was the house of the pesky walking mop!  The walking mop always wanted to play, and didn't leave me alone unless one of his pack made him stay away from me.

Later on that night, we left and drove to a big building called a hotel, because other family members were staying at our relatives' house and there was no room for us.  We got into this box with doors that closed by themselves, and when they opened, we were at a different place than the one we left.  We went into this room and there was a lot of space to explore and play in (without the walking mop).  We stayed there a couple of nights, then moved back to the relatives home because the other relatives left.  I had to put up with the walking mop for a little while longer, then we left for another looong goferide and ended up back at home!

Mindy here - it was interesting to see Ozzy and Boomer interact.  Boomer is a Havanese and really does look like a walking mop.  And he's still a puppy, so he wanted to play all the time.  Ozzy would put up with the play for a while, but then he would want to quit, but Boomer didn't know how to quit.  Ozzy quickly learned that a quick snap and sharp bark usually did the trick to get Boomer to leave him alone.  The relatives are trying to "find their way" as far as training Boomer.  He has come a long way as far a potty training, but he still whines and cries at night, when he has to be separated from the rest of the family.

FYI - If you go to Six Flags Mid-America, DON'T board your furkid there at the park.  The web site made it sound so good, but in reality, the facilities were minimal.  We could have boarded Ozzy and Boomer at one of several nice facilities in the St. Louis area, instead.

Whew, Ozzy!  Dat sound like a weeeeelllly looooong goferaride.  I hope you told dat Mop dat you is Ozzy da dachshund and dat YOU are in charge!
