Liver problem

Just got a call from Dr. Cindy the CBC panel came back showing that Sam has liver problems and has to go on medication.  This all happened in the course of a month, but Dr Cindy said that with the proper diet and meds he will be OK.

Sam here:  Guess what I have to gain weight so I get to eat anything I want any time of the day.  So mom has to feed me regular adult food and do it 3 or 4 times a day.  Yeah I love that idea.

  Hugs, kisses and rays heading to Sam, although eating all that people food is not such a bad thing....is it.... Please don't worry....the Dr. knows best and I am sure just as Kari said...that the proper meds and diet will make Sam feel as good as new!!   :thumb:

Oh no !   Did they tell you exactly what it was?  Brandy has liver/gall bladder enzyme issues.  I found out right after I got her and they put her on meds for about a year.  She did very well and is now taking a couple natural things (milk thistle and Sam E).  The last blood work was good.  She will go back soon for this year.

What kind of meds and regime did they put you on.  We lost a dog to cyrrosis.

I was also going to suggest milk thistle--do a search on it. I take it,  cause i'm on blood pressure medication and have to have blood work done once a year. It has realy helped my blood work.
