How is Penny doing?

Kari- just wanted to check and see how Penny's ears are doing?  Have they gotten any better?  Was it the immune medicine that casued the vacillitus (sp?) to come back?

Thanks for asking! She is doing pretty good - we have a appointment on Saturday with the dermatologist for a check up. We think her ears are no worse and are slightly better. So we will see what she says. I don't remember how long it took them to get better last time she had a problem. They really feel that the whole episode was triggered by her getting off all the other medications. So hopefully once we get this cleared up and her off these meds she will be okie dokie. Fortunately this does not slow her down at all and doesn't really seem to bother her.

How is Cookie these days? Fully recovered? The only remnants of Penny's back surgery is her scar which can be seen through her hair  and the fact that she "hops" a lot more instead of walking normal. But she seems to be 99.9% of her old self.  :thumb:

Glad she is doing better. :)

Cookie is doing pretty good- the only remnant from her back surgery is that she tends to drag her left rear leg a little bit (that was the leg that went out first).  You can tell she drags it because the toenails are really short and rubbed down on her foot.   She walks fine for a little bit then she starts dragging that foot.
So, we try to take her on more frequent shorter walks, and I try to keep her walking on the grass (since it is softer).  Her back also looks a little hunched, but it’s probably not noticeable to anyone but us.  Otherwise, she is walking running, playing like her old self.  Which is all I could ask for. :)

Penny's is too - he backbone is more pronounced then it use to be!! We notice it, but don't know how many other people would notice.
