Girls Night In

Cookie here- Daddy's out tonight. Mommy said we are having girls night in.  I got excited- she poured a glass of wine for herself and watched what she called "chick stuff"on TV.  I didn't get any wine.  It looks good- but she never shares with me. :(  I thought girls night meant "spoil Cookie night".  No treats and no wine- how is that any fun? 

Well, since Daddy, who is the one who likes for me to sleep in my bed, was gone, I tried to have "final tinkle" at 8:45pm and I ran to the bedroom- I thought it would be fun to get in the big bed early with mama.  She said no, she wasn't ready for bed.  :idiot: Huh?  How can anyone not be ready for bed- I'm always ready.  So about 30 minutes later I ran to the door and went out and tinkled again.  Certainly she would figure out it was pre-bed "final tinkle".  Now she's on the 'puter.    I don't know why she is waiting up for Daddy- I just want us to hurry and get in bed before he gets home so I can claim his spot.    I keep running and trying to lead her to the bedroom, and she won't go!  :verdict:  I am getting tired of running back and forth!  Its 10pm, time for me to hog 1/2 the bed!

LOL - Sounds like a fun night. Did Cookie get to sleep in the big bed?? Drew gone yesterday evening as well so if was jut us girls (and Mr. Tucker). Penny had gotten a bath and the works  and went on a walk so she was sacked out in her bed

Cookie, you get half the bed???  I have to share my half the bed with Guinness, Merlin, and Beau.  And they wonder why I get snappy and snarly!

The funny thing is that Penny wants NOTHING to do with the big bed ! We have tried to get her to sleep with us but all she wants to do is get down and get in her own crate! I think our snoring bothers her  !

Finally at 10:30 Cookie and I went to bed.  She barked ad growled when my DH came home and tried to go to bed.     Our problem with Cookie in the big bed is that she is a pillow licker.  Nothing grosser than waking up to slurp, slurp, slurp and having a wet spot on your pillow.
But Cookie has mastered the l@@k so well that, after a minute of staring into those pitiful eyes, I forget about all her antics and want to put her in the bed with me.  I think I have sucker tatooed on my forehead sometimes.

Hey Cookie - tell your mama you need a ramp - den you can go to the big bed when YOU get ready !!!   Sometimes we get so tired waiting on mama to come to the bed....so we just go and get in ourselves !!!!!
