First of all, thank you all for your well wishes in my new job move.  I received the acceptance letter yesterday and spoke to the HR person and my new boss today over the phone.  I just wanted to be clear with my need for either a bigger monitor or software that can make text bigger or a magnified glare guard.  They have chosen to go with a new bigger monitor.  It will be about a month before it gets here.  In the meantime, I will be training at several desks, so I will just have to make due until then.  It's gonna be a little rough, but as long as I can make nose art on the monitor, I'll be okay on a very temp basis.

They sound so pleased to have me on board and assured me that they have taken care of everything for this accomodation.  I can hardly wait to start (Monday after next).

In the meantime, Robert and DeAnna have offered my old job to LePrece, who is also a mutual friend.  She will do great.  She will be training with me for about 5 days.  I'm so glad it was easy for them to hire someone else so quickly and this gal will be GREAT.

Since I'll be about a 10 minute walk from home, I plan on coming home for lunch so that I can release Miss Maddie from the laundry room and she can have run of the house for the afternoons.  Plus, it will be good exercise for me with 2 round trips a day.

So WOOHOOO!  This really sounds like THE JOB I want.

Murphy's law.....I hadn't more than an hour accepted their terms by phone when I got another phone call.  It was another job offer working downtown (bus ride) working a data entry position for a large shoe company.  It sounds like the candidate they chose didn't work out and they were calling me to replace him/her.  That job was a bit more money but I'm happy with my choice.  The job I've chosen really does have my name written on it.  I hope this is THE job and I don't have to do this again.

Time to get back to housecleaning.  Speaking of which.....since I'm working 40 hours again, I'm looking for someone to come in and clean about every 3 weeks.  Any takers?

Sounds great!  I think the new bosses sound very nice and like they are looking forward to having you.  Even though the other offer pays more, I wouldn't want to be someone's second choice, and I would choose the easy commute and chance to see my furkid at lunch over a little more money.  It would have been eaten up by bus fare anyway!
