This all is just so terrifying. Even though our food doesn't happen to be on the list it still worries you that it might be next. Those poor people who fed their pets this food...can you imagine how it would make you feel. I have considered cooking her food (I just can't do the raw thing) although there are no guarantees an ingredient you buy at the store won't also have problems! I am considering doing one of these diets though.

I worry about home cooking too though because it's so crucial for dog food to be balanced in so many ways. Like this site says, you have to follow it closely (and can we really trust THEM? Probably..but??) and it also says you might think it's balanced because your dog may look ok for a few years on it but if it's off they are slowly building up a deficit and one day down the road it will crop up.

I think Hallie and I are going to stop eating all together!  :thinik: Scary business anymore...
