New Pet Food recall Kidney Failure

On Yahoo news site they had a Pet food recall of WET Foods said the stores were Wal-Mart,Safeway.Kroger and othe store brands 60 million containers of wet foods are being recalled because 10 animals have died of Kidney failure.Had a web site you could go to to check out brands but I could not get it to work one was Eukanuba how ever you spell it??? One would think they would have a list of foods out with the news story???

I saw that too from the basset yahoo group site i am a member of. It is scary the things going on with food, pet or human kind.

They had a big story on the news last night. They said the link would be hard to get to because of so much volume. Our Dallas station was listing the foods on their website - so many news stations may be doing the same thing.

It is also only some formulas from these company's and only certain best by dates. So check the upcs and the dates to be certain you have a problem can or pouch if you use any of them.

what stuff are they putting into our animals food. we buy food thinking it is good for them and i could kill them how messed up is that.

Nutro Natural Choice (wet food only) is one of those recalled. I found out because I had gone to PetCo to pick up some more food for Ozzy. I ended up buying Science Diet, since Ozzy has eaten Science Diet before.

Fortunately, Ozzy seems fine - he is peeing well, drinking well, and is not acting sick, so I'm crossing my fingers and hoping we dodged the bullet. Almost makes me want to start feeding him eggs and hamburger only.

Petco here removed all the nutro not just the recalled ones so I was told once they have the right information the unrecalled would be put back out. Petsmart only removed the recalled ones here.

Science Diet on the new recall list just saw it there on DearDoggy.com if I were to fed any wet foods it would be Hamburger,Chicken,Sugar that I cooked myself I feed Canidae dry with cooked sauage,chicken or hamburger crumbled mix with the dry food.
