Send a good thought Skeeter's way, she's getting her teeth cleaned today.  The teeth aren't real bad, but her breath is wicked!  She has a bit of gingivitus, and the vet doesn't think she will lose any teeth.  She has a heart murmer and is 11 years old.  She should do okay, but this might be the last cleaning due to her age and the fact her heart could get worse.  Best to do it now before the teeth get real bad and her heart gets worse, preventing us from doing anything about her teeth.

She justs hates this.  She went outside like a good girl this morning and came in for her breakfast. When she discovered food and water bowls were empty and Daddy wasn't doing anything about it, she went to the back door to go out again (we fill the bowls while she goes potty).  Not sure is she was trying to get a second chance or give us a second chance.  Not long after this betrayal, we took her for a goferride only to end up at the vet, and you  wouldn't believe how hard she shook.  She shook the poopies right out of her onto the vet's floor.  The shaking was a bit better after that, but she was still scared and hated to see us leave.

So send rays and prayers for good health for Skeeter and forgiveness for us.

Poooooor baby!  Good thoughts coming her way.  Skeeter, honey, when you get home, make sure you really MILK IT!  Maybe your mommy will dish up some nice soft eggies!

Sounds like Skeeter is playing up the dramatics.   She's a tough old girl and should have no problem with the dental.   Sending rays her way.

Dentals have gotten less traumatic with the advent of some "lighter" anesthetics.   Max had a very major dental at age 16, complete with several extractions, and he did well, so Skeeter still may have a dental or two to go.

Skeeter did just great after her dental.  She had a couple of warty growths removed from her ear, and will have stitches out on Saturday.  Her ear doesn't seem to bother her at all.  The only real post dental trauma for her was not being allowed to eat that evening!

Thanks for all your well wishes!
