Hug-A-Dox - mesh vs material?

Berman's b-day is coming up and I was thinking of getting him a new Hug-A-Dox harness.  I got him one for his 1st birthday and after 3 years, it's starting to look a little worn out.  He currently has a black mesh with red trim. I was wondering if anyone had any pros vs cons of the material versions.  They have such cute patterns out there.

I love the material ones because the fabric is so cute! At Dachshund Delights you can send them your own material and they reduce the cost of the harness. I sent them some princess fabric for a harness for Penny and it was so cute. I just think the material ones have more character and personality

Rudy has one just like Berman - I got it last year.....  I debated getting a fabric one - and may do that for both later on.  Kewl that you can send them the material !!!
