It turned out not to be back problems after all (Praise the Lord)
Missy actually has the pain in her leg.  The vet said it is in her "knee cap" so to speak.  He said there is some "play" in her leg that she was born with.  he gave her some antibiotics and told us to keep her from too much activity.  He said down the road in could need some kind of procedure.  When she was a pup she (every know and then) would skip her back leg out to the side.  It was like she was uncoordinated or trying to run too fast.  Thanks for the rays and prayers.

It sounds like a luxating patella - several of our puppers here have had a surgery to correct.  You might Google it and see if it sounds like what is going on wiht Missy.  Glad it is not her back !!!

Ilsa had a luxating patella. She had surgery when she was about 6 months old and hasn't had a problem since. I guess because she was so young, she popped right back. The only problem I remember when she was recovering was that she couldn't posture to poop, so she became constipated. Unfortunately, it was rainy during that time and she and I spent many wet trip out there with no results.

Before we knew she had it, my husband would tell me he'd see her kicking her leg out while running. I didn't believe him because he tends to 'read' things into situations when it comes to our pups. He freaks a lot faster than I do. When I saw it, we headed for the vet. It didn't seem to hurt her - just annoyed her, at times, when she tried to run.

This is very good news, though. Luxating patellas are a lot easier to fix than backs. Sooooo, glad it wasn't her back.

SO VERY GLAD THAT IT IS NOT A BACK ISSUE.   :apls:
But on the other hand I am sorry to hear that it is a luxating patella.
