Update on Zack

He was still chilled and that after surgery so they wanted to keep him. The vet was going home for a while and then going back for a check on the patients about 9:30 so we arranged for her to call me. She said he was more alert and if I wanted I could come and get him. So I went and got him. He is not really moving around a lot and is crying but he did eat some food so I got the rimydal in him for pain and the 1st antibiotic pill. Hopefully it will stay down and he will settle down again. If I am concerned while I am gone to work tomorrow I can bring him back there and they will keep an eye on him till I get done. We can still use a few ray and prayers for the next few days. I think he will drive dad up the wall once he gets in.

I know I will sleep better tonight knowing he is here and he isn't alone and I am sure Zena will alert me if he cries or anything tonight.
Time to try for some sleep now.

It was a long night last night. He cried for quit a while then finally settled down but then he woke at 5am and wouldn't settle back down. Since he hadn't walked any where yet I wasn't taking him out on the ice and he had the pee pad under him so I changed the bedding and gave him a little food and he went back to sleep. Took him back to the vets for them to watch him and

take off the bandage over the sutures on his bad. If I had done it, I was worried that it would start bleeding and I would panic. When I got there to pick him up after work. I asked how he had been. The girl behind the counter said .....LOUD.

I guess he barked most of the day so they knew he was feeling better and so far we haven't had to put the cone on him.
He finally quieted down after we got home. So we all took a nice nap!!! :thumb:
Thanks for all the good thought...we are doing ok. But Dad is stuck at a truck stop in Harrisburg and supposed to deliver in Mass tomorrow but that looks kind of iffy now. He was supposed to be home this weekend but he will probably not make it.

Merion, just saw this. Hoping Zack is doing well tonight. Give him a kiss for me. I bet Zena is miffed that she can't play with her buddy.

They are both now unhappy that they can't play together until it heals. But today we had a Kennel Club Mall Demonstration so Zena was very worn out after her day. Zack stayed home and had a smoked bone and didn't have to worry about someone ( who shall remain nameless

) stealing it . Now I hope we have a peaceful nights sleep!!!!!

I am sorry I didn't see this earlier, but glad he is home and better! Rays for both Z's during this recovery time...
