Doxie Guy NC

I am happy to be here and be a part of a very nice group. I look forward to being able to read alot of good information. I now have a little guy who is going down in the back and looking into a cart for him. If anyone has one or knows where to get one. I will be happy to pay for it as well as shipping it here to NC. This little guy is the reason I have gotten into Dachshund Rescue.

Hi,

This is some information I saved from a member in Florida Dachshund Rescue:

Check out www.eddieswheels.com and www.doggonwheels.com. Both
make excellent carts, both, if they have refurbished ones, will make them
available to rescues for greatly reduced prices, sometimes just shipping. Also check out www.handicappedpets.com, which has a listing for people wanting to buy/sell carts. I think
handicappedpets may also have a section on how to build a cart. There are other cart
companies: www.k9carts.com and www.wheelchairsfordogs.com. There is an inexpensive  alternative company, www.dogstogo.net, but the carts are made out of PVC. I had an Eddie's Wheels for my aussie when she went  down and it's a
wonderfully engineered cart, easy to use for human and dog.  Also check out www.wonderpuppy.net/copper/hotwheels.htm for  an informed discussion of the merits of the various carts.

Good luck!
