Toby has been with us for the two nights now.  Both nights he has slept in the big bed but he is very very restless.  He seems to dream almost constantly.  He whimpers and sort of thrashes around.  He also seems to be wheezing and his eyes tear as if he is crying in his sleep.
Both Buelah and Oscy sleep very very soundly.  The occasional dachsie dream but that's about it.  Toby goes through this all night.  I am taking him for a first visit with our vet tomorrow and certainly plan on asking about this but I was wondering if anyone else has a pupper that goes through this at night?

Libby seems to dream alot.  Usually she will give little barks in her sleep, sometimes she growls a little.  I think she is dreaming about Sgt stealing her greenies.  She doesn't move around as much as you are saying toby does.  It might be that he just needs a little more "settling in" time.

HA!  I'm surprised she didn't have nightmares after being with my two little terrors!

yes Terry might just need time to have goood things to dream about. Oliver when we got him even ther bed did not want to sleep unless he had a hand on him for security, that took about a week to break.
