Food question from Lauri & the Bratpak

Lauri & the Bratpak reported in on the old board and ask a question: 
We're still going strong - summer's here and it's really steaming! I hope everyone is still doing OK!

Do you know if I can feed my little ones a Brazil nut now and again? Do you know of any toxicity in it for dogs?

I know that Macadamia nuts are not good, so I give them 1 or 2 Almonds and Cashews sometimes. Anyway, Brazil nuts are excellent for the nervous system and prevention of Altzheimers!

Why are macadamia nuts bad?  They have a higher amount of oil I know, but I didn't know they were bad.  I would've thought pretty much any type of nut would be OK in moderation, but maybe not.
