Today on my way home I decided to stop by the nursing home and ask if anyone there could use a blanket, comb and brush set, booties or whatever ( no candy). I used to work in nursing homes but, got burnt out and quit. I am buying a blanket for this lady who does not have family and needs to have a present. It is not much but, to her it is something. I sat with her talked about this and that and then and she told me she wants a blue blanket. I thought it is the least I can do.....

What a great idea. So many people take their family members to nursing homes and then seem to "forget" they exist anymore. Of course some of the residents there are the last ones left in their family. I think it was wonderful that you took the time to go by and see what they needed. Meghan and I have been trying to think of a project to do when she gets home, but aren't sure what it will be quite yet.
