For the past day couple of day regis has been completly out of it.  He just lays in the same place all day.  When I pick him up he yelps.  So last night I took him to the emergency vet.  They check completly over back, to see if he is blocked up, legs, and neck.  Everything seemed fine.  We choose not to have blood work or xrays done, because we wanted our vet to look him over.  We did ask that they give him some pain medicine though.  Regis will be 14 to the 26th of this month.  Just in the last month he has lost all of his eye sight, and most of his hear.  I have pretty much told him it was time to go.  But last night when I took him to the vet I completly lost it knowing if there nothing that can be done I would have to put him to sleep.  I thought I was ready for that but I don't think you can be completly ready for that.  I know his time is soon, so please send strong rays for him.  And I guess I need some rays to because when it is his time it will be very hard for me to put my baby down that I have had almost 14 years.

It's very hard, but you gave Regis a good, long, happy life.  Our thoughts are with you.

Just had to put my beloved Bouvier Jake down last April so know where you are coming from it is hard to be brave and let your Fur Kid go. I may have waited 24 hours too long I had upped Jake's pain meds and was hoping they would kick in & do the job but a lass Jake let me know when it was time for him to go .At least we have the option of letting them go where they do not have to be suffering has always been a hard decision to make but I'm sure you will make the right choice for your Fur Kid. My thoughts are with you.

I just had to put my Max down recently.  I know it's a tough decision, but when it's their time, it is time.  Letting go is the toughest decision you can ever make.  Regis will let you know when it's time.  Sending major rays to you and Regis.
