Please spare a ray or two for Boonie if you can.  About a week ago I took him to the vet because his gums were so red.  Although there isn't very much tartar on his teeth, the vet wanted to do a dental because she tought he needed cleaning under the gums.  The vet also noticed a small growth on his face, at that will be removed while he is under.  They said these growths are nearly always benign.

We were also going to have Boonie microchipped, but SURPRISE--he already has a chip.  I wonder how we go about having the chip registered to us?  I'll need to look into that.

Sending lots of rays to Boone for good news and a speedy recovery from the dental.

The vet called to tell us all went well with the dental and they removed the growth :hello2:.  Its a hema-something that if found on an organ could be malignant, but are usually benign on the skin.  Just in case, they are doing a biopsy.  Please send prayers and rays for a good result :xfinger:.  We can pick him up after five, so we'll be there at 5:01.
Thanks,
Kevin, Jeri & Skeeter

P.S.
On the way to the vet Boonie walked with me to the car, on the leash!!!  He had to go via the dewy front yard though so he could be good and wet before sitting on my lap.  He's slowly making progress, maybe soon he will be doing this... :walk2: !

Thanks for the update - sending rays until we know positively the growth is benign !!!   Good boy Boone - LOL - for getting dad all wet!!!!   Soft belly rubs and maybe eggies for a sore mouth for dinner?
