Hemi's visit

Last Tuesday our little granddog the black and tan smooth coat, Hemi came to stay with us for five days! I took pictures but am having some computer issues so am unable to post them right now. Hemi is around 4 months old and is such a sweet, smart little fella! Our daughter, Jessica, is working with him and her three kids when it comes to training. The oldest, Ty (8) is in charge of taking him out every hour to potty and then cleans up after him. Joe (6) is in charge of making sure he has a full water bowl (I laughed at this...Joe and water...not a good combo!) and Faith (almost 5) is in charge of making sure his toys are picked up and put away and his bed is clean.
Jessica has been watching Cesar Millan and has brought many of his ideas into training this little guy. He minds SO well and we honestly had no real problems with him while he was here with us.

Hemi slept w/ me every night which was novel since our dogs never sleep w/ us. He's a little snuggle bug!! I kept telling him that this five days was like a vacation for him too! I know he enjoyed being here and we loved it too. Since we have been w/o a dog since Finn's passing in March it has been pretty quiet around here.

He was VERY happy to see his family on Sunday evening!!! I handed him to Jessica and he was SO excited he peed all over her! I was crackin' up b/c he had done the same to both Steve and I!!!   We will certainly always be available to take care of this cute little fella...even after Katie comes home on Aug. 14th!!!

He sounds like an absolute little doll! HOpe you can get the photos posted soon. How exciting your new Katie will be coming home soon too! Your house needs a dog...she is going to help heal your heart. Will be wanting to see a lot of photos!

As soon as I can get a 'card reader' for my puter I will be able to post pics. We just got a 'bundle package' through our cable provider (Wave Broadband) that includes internet. Well, Windows 98 would not support the wireless connection so we had to put Windows XP on here. Well, now it all works but I am having great difficulty w/ getting my pics on here. My son, Greg got my printer up and running last night after a big hassle. Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to get the card reader and then I can post pics.
Our house needs a dog is almost an understatement! I really miss having Hemi here...told Jess that she had to leave him here until August 10 but that was a no go! lol The kids would've had a fit, I'm sure!!!

Sounds like all of you had a great time !!!  So glad it worked out well and how great that Grandma is willing to babysit !

Believe me...I adore, love and value my three grandkids...but I will take the dog any day!!! lol
