I was wondering if the new owners of your old house are settling in and adjusting to life in Alaska. I have to admit, I'm just a little envious. I'm sure you will be great with them and help them learn their way around and also learn about the things they need to know about living somewhere that has a midnight sun.

Hi Teresa.  We have not met the new owners yet.  We wanted to give them time to settle in and get used to the house.  I know how that goes.  I had to get used to the personality of my NEW house.  Went thru three shower heads in my new bathroom before I went over to the old house and exchange one of the heads for my old one!   :2funny:
My agent emailed me this morning because their agent was asking if we had phone service to the old house.  And if so, they thought maybe the line was messed with when the new septic was put in.  There is, in fact, phone service, and there's no way the septic work could have cut the line or anything.  I asked my agent if the new guys have called the phone company to hook up service (duh!) and she said she was wondering the same thing.  We had the phone disconnected when we moved (of course).
I did ask my agent to let their agent know that we still need to come over and show them how to maintain the water purifying system in the crawl space so their water remains perfect.  Its just a matter of adding a special chlorine and water to a tank that injects the solution into the water system to keep the water nice.  Its no big deal, but there wasn't anywhere in the disclosure to explain its upkeep.
So once the phone problem is resolved, I will ride my horse over and introduce myself.  Gotta give the new owners time to work out the kinks and learn the quirks of the house before I meet them.  I had a time of getting used to my new house, and everything was brand new!  Change is painful......
I just don't want the new owners in the midst of being all riled up over something when I meet them.  They bought the house AS IS and hopefully they remember that and don't take anything out on us.
I remember my agent telling me that the new owners attitude was "the house is 28 years old, its going to have some things wrong with it, but those people lived in it for 15 years, I think I can live in it for a while."
