Can't post event to the Calendar

Whenever I try to post an event to the Calendar (without posting a topic) I get a message that says, "Sorry you cannot post a topic to this board."  Anyone else having this problem?

I will look into this to see if it is something you might be doing by accident or if it is a problem with the board software. :thumb:

Drew I get the same message as April and I've tried every which way to post an event to the calendar.

 :hm: points to a board issue, no errors but I'll see what I can find.

I only tried to post an event to the calendar without making a post to the event announcement forum and got the same message Beth did.  I guess that is why we have so many event posts in that forum for events that are not in the near future - that seems to be the way people can get events to post to the calendar.
