I forgot to post on Rudy's Birthday. He turned 7 on Thursday!

Happy birthday to my Moody Roo!  I love him so much and I've been telling him that no matter what is about to change, he always be my "firstborn." 

Hard to believe he's SEVEN years old already.  It seems like just yesterday he was a 5 pound pup sitting in my lap, stealing my heart before I knew it.

Happy belated birthday Rudy!! Wow seven years old!! You are getting very wise now, I bet. Just remember, when mom has your new hubrother or sister, You were the one who taught her how to be a MOM!!

Teresa, how funny you should say that about Rudy teaching me to be a mom.  On Mother's Day, my mom gave me a book called "Everything I Need to Know About Parenting, I Learned from My Puppies."  It's a really cute little book, but there aren't any dachshunds pictured.

It's true!  I often think that having Chilie to take care of really did prepare me for parenthood.

Happy belated barkday, Rudy Roo!  (I hope this means we'll get a picture of the 7 year old birthday boy!)  I think raising puppies and getting rescue dogs to train, really does prepare you for parenthood or steparenthood!

I can't believe he is 7 either. It goes WAY too fast! I remember too when he was just a pup. I hope he had a great day and that he's feeling 100% again? Give him a birthday kiss for us.

Funny about the Mom thing....I have always thought that the babysitting I did as a kid prepared me for being a dog mom.  :thumb:

Krista, Just let us know if its a boy or girl and the shirt that says "My Oldest brother is a dachshund will be on it's way" I can make one of those. I figure I have to put "oldest" on there so we're forgetting the others, just making Rudy special since he started the training!

Dis is Oscy and dis is a nuther one of my RULES!  When da mama forgets da birfday ya get to have da birfday ALL WEEK!  Which means naturally, dat der are more tweats dan usual.  Happy barkweek to RUDY!

As for Mr. Roo, well he's gotten extra treats and got to sleep in the big bed all weekend too.  That makes him very happy.
