Hi all,

I have a couple pieces of news I wanted to share with you all.  First as I stated many months ago I am a big fan of CNN's Anderson Cooper and have read his new book.  Well, Mr Cooper has been doing book signings everywhere but here in MI, which really isn't fair, but I digress.  A friend of mine who lives in NYC went to the NYC book signing on Tuesday and bought me a book and had Anderson sign it for me.  It arrived today and it's really exciting to see someone you really admire sign his name in your book to you.
The book is called Dispatches from the Edge and I highly recommend it, but keep the Kleenex handy as it is sad in parts.


Secondly,  I may be going back to work part time.  Several weeks ago I started volunteering at the campaign headquarters of a Congressional candidate here in MI and I askedthem if they would think about putting me on staff part time to answer phones and do clerical work.   I'll find out this week.  Oh and Lori from NY I may be coming into the
city sometime in September as Joan Jett will be doing a fundraiser for the candidate I'm working for.  So maybe if I do come we could meet up.  I'll let you know all the details when I find out.

Wow, Marcia, sounds like you have some pretty cool stuff going on right now.  I watched when Anderson Cooper was on the Oprah show.  It was very interesting.  I like Anderson Cooper....I remember him as a reporter for "Channel One" when I was in high school!

Glad to hear that you and the boys are doing well.  Belly rubs to Sam and Eddie!

You have been busy!!!! Glad to hear this is all good news I was a little worried. :) Some exciting stuff, the book is way cool and the job sounds great! Keep us posted on everything. Are the boys enjoying spring time?

Gee, Marcia - good to hear from you!  I thought you were in deep cover!  Mom has watched him for eons.  (I didn't realize he was Gloria Vanderbilt's son!)  Congratulations on getting the autographed book - very cool.  :thumb:  I am in Missouri right now, but heading back to CA tomorrow, with my Cream of Shrimp soup, and the Famous Ott's salad dressing, plus a lot of books from the book sale - which was at the Convention Center a mere three blocks away!  Did you get a big storm blowing through all night long, as we did here?
