  Charlie here - I like to defluff all the soft toys that my mom gives to me.  I can can defluff one in a matter of minutes and when I do, mom takes the leftovers away from me within seconds as she doesn't think the stuffing is good for me to eat.  Do any other doxies have a view on eating the stuffing that comes out of those soft toys when we attack them?

Well, Cajsa will destuff them but doesn't try to eat the stuffing.  I would say it would be bad to eat, but if a little bit was swallowed in the process of destuffing it wouldn't be too bad as long as it wasn't a big mouthfull.

Dis is Buelah and I am da CHAMPION of destuffin da squeeky toys!  Da QUEEN of da flat toy bodies....da DIVA of de STUFFIN!  Whats da fun of having dem if ya can't get dat squeeker out?  Mama takes da stuffin away from me to...but not cuz I eat it.  I jus like to drag it all over da house!

Terri here...I'm with April...a little bit swallowed probably won't hurt but if Charlie is actually eating the stuffing I would definately get rid of it first!

Not a good idea, it can clog the intestines, then you are in real trouble, could be fatal.

eLlIe  is a stuffin eater too .... she doesn't  go after things to destuff them but IF there is a little itty bitty hole in anything she will pull out the stuffin and eat it.
I love quilts ........ again just a small hole in a seam and she will destuff  it.  And eat it.

I don't think I've ever actually eaten the stuff as mom usually takes the stuffing away before I'm able to do that.  The thing is she takes the toy away with the stuffing.   :dontknow:

Maddie is my quilt/stuffy eater.  She does not play with any of the stuffies but prefers to eat them.  I have pulled that fuzzy stuff out of her mouth many times.  All the quilts that she can get to have lots of "air vents" in them.  Must have been separated from her doggy mommy too soon.  It's the only thing I can figure out.

Speaking of stuffies, I earned my $ at work on Tuesday.  Truman the Golden Retweever (my one employee I supervise) urped up about 3 times.  The third time looked like it was something like a cloth something or other.  I was off yesterday and when I came in this morning, Truman was his usual bouncy self.  Heard tell he got rid of what he had the tummy problems over.  The goose had eaten a part of a sock.  Thank goodness every thing came out all right! :apls:

I would also like to say that the destuffed toys are probably safe to play with.  Cajsa has always loved her "floppy" toys after the stuffing is gone.
