Toby is at the vets today having some bloodwork.  We met with our vet and the behaviorist yesterday afternoon.  My little man will be on a light tranquilizer for a few days while we start his soft muzzle training.  It is easier on them that way.  Because of his background it will not be easy but we feel that he is well worth any effort!
My mom is in town for a few days and she is actually handling her fear very well.  I think that Toby sort of won her over with his little wiggly butt!   :thumb:
Obviously we are being very very cautious and the petting is reserved for times when he is wearing his cloth muzzle.
I will pick him up after work today.  He seems so glad to be home!
Oscy is thrilled to have his hunting partner back!  :hello2:  Buelah is ignoring him as usual....
I am so happy that we made this decision.  I'm so thankful for all of the support we have been given.
I'll keep you informed on how things are going!

I'm so glad Toby is home, though you really would have had my full support either way. This is one story Randy keeps asking me for updates on. I am really praying that everything goes well with your mom. Maybe something will show up in the bloodwork that could be causing a problem and could possibly be treated. I've even wondered if it could be linked to the heartworm treatment last year. I've even thought of the soft muzzle for Molly when we have strangers around her. Problem is Molly has that short, squashed nose of a bulldog. Muzzles are kinda hard to fit on her

Toby-I'm glad you are back with your mom and sister and brother. I know you are excited and happy. You, too, have had a tough few days and I know you're not quite sure what you've done. We are all rooting for you.
