Haven't been posting lately.

I have been lurking, but not posting lately.  I have had my mom and dad here for a week.  Dad is beening seen at M D Anderson Cancer Center (where I work) and things have been hectic.  The prognosis is not great.  He has lung cancer and had been in remission, but now has some lesions on his brain.  They are talking about doing radation surgery on him, but that can have nasty side affects like strokes.  Anyway, they went home the same day Lily went down (see post under rays needed).  Anyway, rays to all that need them and I hope everyone is doing well.

Oh man Nikki. You are getting a double whammy. I am so sorry about your Dad and all that you guys are having to go through. I was shocked to hear about Lily. But the prognosis sounds great for her. What a horrible time for you though. Many prayers and rays coming your way!

Rays on the way for your dad!  I know exactly what you are going through, since Dad was hospitalized out of the nursing home and then they found his cancer.   Rays heading east...

Gosh, Nikki, I am so sorry for all you have been going thru with your dad and Lily.  Sounds like Lily is going to be okay.  I hope your dad pulls through too.  Its so scary when we have to go through things like this with our parents.  The roles switch and we have to take care of them and be the strong ones, and its hard.  Please keep us posted on your dad and Lily, and I will keep them in my prayers.
