Hi everyone! It's been a while since I've been here so figured I'd best reintro myself! My name is Kathy and I live in Washington state. I first found this forum almost two years ago...about four days after my buddy Piddleman went to the bridge. For those of you who were here then that name might ring a bell! I mean, how many Piddleman's do you know? lol You all were so kind to me during that time. I will never forget it!
As you can tell by my picture I am now owned by a big, beautiful Golden Retriever named Finn. He came to live w/ us not quite two months after P went to the bridge. He's sure been a blessing to our family...such a loving, happy kind of guy! I'll try to remember to include a picture of him in this post!
I bookmarked this forum so that I will remember to pop in more frequently to say hi, I've missed hearing all the great antics of your sweet puppers!!
This picture is of our 6 yr old grandson Joe sitting on Finn...who doesn't ever seem to mind!!
Some day I hope to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am!!

:thumb: Thanks, Roberta! I will try to stop in more often...after the inventory madness is done at our store today I should have more time for fun stuff!
Steve and I often speculate how many doxies it would take to make a Finn! We'd have a house full...that is for sure! Finn stands 28" tall and 26" long and weighs 110 lbs!
Some day I hope to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am!!

You are right, as soon as I saw the name Piddleman and saw Finn in the picture I knew exactly who you were. I'm so glad you are hanging out with us again some. Finn is beautiful and HUGE! He reminds me so much of our friends' Golden named Copper. He, too, is huge and you better not have anything on a low table if he's around-his tail will quickly knock it to the floor!

Teresa, I had to chuckle when I read about your friend's Golden. I learned the hard way that I can't have a candle on my coffee table w/ Finn around! He either wags his tail and puts it out or one time he singed some of the hairs! Burning dog hair, yuck!
On one of the Golden Retriever forums that I'm on (I'm on two) there is a young Golden pup named Copper Penny! She was born w/ heart problems and her human has taken such good care of her that she has greatly improved and there is now a lot of hope she will be ok.
I think it's interesting to compare dog names...there are some that are very typical w/ Goldens...Copper, Goldie, Honey....and the same seems to go w/ each breed! Finn is a bit more original (though there is a Finnie on one of my forums) and his full name, Finnigan means 'gold haired'.
I will definitely make more of an effort to be around...my hours at work got cut in half for next week, so I'll have all kinds of time! It doesn't help w/ the bills but does give me more free time! lol
Some day I hope to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am!!
