Anyone use their dachie for working? :thinik:

Our dachshunds are pretty much companion animals and have no real job to speak of other than to be a part of the family.  Gwennie and Roscoe have both visited the nursing home with me and they do well with the residents there, but we are not involved in a program.

They do hunt in the yard on their own, and Gwen is often successful, but I don't encourage them nor take them hunting or tracking.

Werk.....what is da werk?   We hear mama tell us she is going to da werk....but US????????  Our job is to lay around all de day long......

My mom takes me to da work with her. I like it cause I get to make sure the mean UPS man don't get her.  Sometimes her bossman Father Corapi comes in and he scratches my ears and feeds me cheese and olives.  I work real hard to make sure mom does her job  I get ezhosted.

As of yet they just lie around like yours but I am thinking of getting a third dachie for tracking and trials.  My older dachie now has very bad allergies which prevent her from participating and my male has a submissive problem which is very hard for training especially if you are doing obidence first.
