For those of you that frequent other lists... you may have read that the "Chicken Soup" line of pet foods was going to be recalled.  This is a RUMOR... this information is false ... should the Chicken Soup foods or any other brands be recalled it would be announced on their website along with Diamond website.

The following was taken from the Chicken Soup Website..

Chicken Soup Brand NOT Affected by Recall
Diamond Pet Foods has received inquiries about Chicken Soup Dog food. It is important for consumers to know that this brand does not contain corn, and is thereby not susceptible to aflatoxin. Subsequently, it is not included in our voluntary recall.

We have great empathy for our customers who are affected by this unfortunate situation, and are working very hard to do the right thing to help them. Our focus at the moment is to communicate as much information and prevent pet illnesses. To that extent, we have opened a Customer Information Center staffed by veterinarians to help customers who are concerned about their pet's health. The Center can be reached toll-free at 1-866-214-6945

But...panic is my middle name! LOL. Thanks Jen, I feel a little better. I beleive it but for some reason I still want to run through the house screaming. :) Diamond has been really good about trying to fix all this.

Thanks, Jen. I saw this topic on the old board and freaked! I couldn't even post a response. Both my girls eat chicken soup kibble. I checked my bag and it didn't have the "G," but I was trying to figure out what else to feed them.  Thanks again!

Yeah...I'd be going to home cooked if, in my case, that weren't more dangerous yet. LOL.

Don't freak.. .chicken soup has been tested and IS NOT in the recall :)
Whoever Animal Help is ought to have a law suit slapped on there for spreading false information...

After this Diamond foods will probably be the safest out there!!

I have been following this on the news and one of the saddest things is that several of the people that they interviewed said that their dogs refused the food.  The people said then they thought the dogs were being finicky and would put gravy or other things on the food to entice the dogs to eat.  They all felt so guilty that they didn't "listen" to their dogs and made them eat it.   From hearing them, if my dogs ever refuse to eat their dog food, I will not make them eat it.  We all know that if a doxies refuses food, something is wrong.
