Highlights of our Year by Loki and Zuzu

We had lotsa fun in our new house dis year!  Mommy's boss told her she couldn't afford to pay her no more so she couldn't werk at da hospital but she got to stay home wiff us!!!  She cuts down lots a trees and sticker bushes and den made us new beds and curtains and stuff.  One day daddy got weal sick one day and he couldn't get off of de floor, so we gots to lick him and keep him company. 

And den in the spring, someting really weird and wonderful happened.  FOOD fell outta da sky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  And it kept fallin'!!!! We ate and ate and ate da berries frum da tree and den we et cherries, and den we et apples.  OH!  And did we mention da POSSUM and da GROUNDHOG??!!!!!!!!!!!!  They were great to track and worry, but we neber did catch dem.  When de apples were all gone we gots to eat BUNNY BERRIES! 

We also gots to stay wiff gramma when mommy and daddy went on the big boat.  We were good girls and did not steal (much) food.

We went for rides to da park and walked in da sun.  But sumtimes dere are too many little kids and dey yelled "Hot dogs."  HHHHhhhhpf!  We neber got no hot dogs frum dem.

Den a weally strange ting happened.  Me, Loki, I felt all funny and it hurt.  I twied to go where it didn't hurt, but it hurt in da baffroom and it hurt in the dining room too.  Mommy took me to da vet lady and she felt me all ober.  Den she made me go to sleep and tooked pictures of my spine.  She told mommy I was GROUNDED!  Da noive!  No more big bed!  But da pills made me better and I stayed in da cwate a few days.  When Zuzu got the same hurtie, I tole her it would be all wite, and momma and daddy and da vet lady would all make it all beddah.  But even though we weren't allowed in the big bed momma made us a great new bed for the living room and we ACTUALLY share it!

Today we is warm and happy and waiting for our suppah wiff our gluko-sam-een cookie.  Den daddy will come home and we will pester him!

Buelah here....it sounds like you hads lots of good stuff happen at your house!
We had somes good stuff too.  We gots a new brudder.  Thats probley the best thing.  I didn't like him to much at first cuz he gots all sick and he couldn't play wif me and Oscy.  Mama had to pay lots of tention to him buts hes all better now and I'm startin to really likes him.  He's weaaaaallllly good at chasin da squirrels!  Oscy likes to chase em to but nots as much as me and Toby. 

We moved to a new house wif a big yard.  We gots a pool in da yard and I loves to swim!  Oscy and Toby don't like it so much but dey go on da floats sumtimes.  I can jump right in!  I'm a very bwave girl! 

Dat's about it for new stuff.  Mama still gets sad sometimes cuz my hoobrother and hoosisters are not here.  Deys someplace called college.  I don'ts know what dat is but it makes mama sad....and she says it's gonna make her poor to!  Dey comes to visit lots though...mostly in da summer and at Cwistmas.  I likes dem cuz dey bring TWEETS! 

We gots new beds from Santa Claus.  I LOVES my new bed!  Oscy REALLY loves his new bed cuz Oscy loves to sleep!  It's his favorite thing to do cept for givin kisses.  He does dat really good to!

      We are sooooo happy you 2 girls had a good year!
       Blusky&Manny here: We had a good year too.Momma Kelly takes really good care of us and gives us smooches all the time and tells us she loves us and that we're pretty special.
        Then the first week in July Momma Kelly,Gamma Sara,Aunty Heather,Unca Jason,&Trevor went on a big boat too.They went on a big boat called Carnival Conquest and had a ball.Momma Kelly says the highlight of the trip was having her piccy taken with the "good lookin cruise director named Todd.
         While they went on they're trip we went to the really nice shelter that takes super goooooood care of us when we come and lets us bring our own food and treats and blankies,and I(Blusky)takes a toy named crabby patty and(Manny) takes an old slipper of Momma Kelly's so we don't get scared at night we have something to snuggle to.
           We love to go riding in the car,when Momma or Gamma says boys want to go for a ride we's right there ready to go.Our other favorite place to go is to pick Trevor up at school.I(Manny) will sit there and watch the people picking up there kids and sometimes people will stop and talk or just look,and then Gamma Sara tells them Blusky is in the back seat with Momma Kelly.
               We too had a good Christmas.Santa Claus brought 2 new water bowls that says John Deere on them,a new John Deere squeaky toy and Momma ordered a Doggie Stroller off of e-bay and the nice ups man brought it today and Gamma took us for a trial run in the house cause it's tooooooooo wet and cold outside to take it out and we are happy with it.

2005 wasn't such a great year for me.  I lost my longtime buddy Rudy back in June.  In July, they took out a bunch of my teeth.   My hoomans even briefly considered getting a "C-A-T" animals to keep me company!  Fortunately, they seem to have given up on that idea.

As I close in on my 17th birthday, I can only wonder how many more happy new years I have left in me.   Most of my pals from when I was younger have all gone to the Bridge.   My only New Years' Wish is to see one more New Years...and then if I make that one, to see one more, and so on.
