Changes For Us

As some of you may know, Mark and I work together at the same company.  Well, we're both about to terminate our employment en masse.  He, especially, has had to put up with no end of nonsense, including lies and harrassment, from our Boss.  She simply has it out for him, NO KIDDING.  I can't stand to see how things have gone from okay to bad to really bad there.  It's like working in a pressure cooker.  Well, after yet another head biting off session, Mark has said he's calling it quits and will start looking for another opportunity.  Me?  I have my ace in the hole and I'm using it.  About 3 months ago, a friend asked me to come work for her.  At that time, I thought I could just swallow the shenanagans that were happening at my workplace but now I really want out.  So I called my friend and lo and behold, the offer is still open!  I start with her and her husband in their small electronics biz starting the first of the year. I'll be working 4 days a week, instead of 5.  The job pays more than what I've been slaving for in healthcare and the stress level will be cut more than in half.  What will Mark do?  While he has no prospects yet, he does have the Medical Records experience and may go in that direction.  We each have 4 weeks of vacation, so that cushions us a bit.  Plus we've got a little bit saved for "just in case." 

I'm excited with this new opportunity and hope that this new door will allow me more time to enjoy my puppers and to just plain enjoy life.

Sandi, I am glad you guys are getting the heck out of there.  I  think your new opportunity sounds great.  I know what trials and tribulations you have had at that awful place.  Good for you!!!!  Something will come up for Mark.  Smoochies to those two grrrls.

It's too bad that place is such bad news, but I'm glad you guys are gonna do better. Oh yeah, I know a thing or 2 about working in the healthcare field!!!!
