Has anyone had acupuncture for your doxies?  I have a friend who has a doxie that had back problems for quite a while and it got to the point that the doxie couldn't use his back legs at all.  She took it in for some acupuncture treatments.  Now the doxie is 12 years old and runs and plays like a puppy.  She takes the doxie back every 3 months for another acupuncture treatment just for  a preventative thing.  Amazing it came from back legs paralized to playing like a puppy.  Anyone else have a similar story.

I don't personally, but have heard many positive stories - if I have a need, I will certainly give it a try !!!

Two of mine had IVDD and both have had acupuncture.  I swear by it.  Jewels is the one that does better on it nowadays, Pixie not so much, but only God and her know what she went through before she was rescued.  Her spine looks like she was beat up, poor girl.  Acupuncture also diminishes any pain they may have.

I worked at an acupuncture clinic for many years. I loved it and learned something new every day!

Acupuncture can be very helpful for pets and humans. Just like any other therapy though, some patients have wonderful results and others not so much!  It definitely won't hurt you but it is not the cure all miracle either for everyone or all pets :-) I have witnessed some of both. I DID take bother of my dogs in for acupuncture. I would say if you want, try it....many times it takes a series of 12 treatments to see positive results so be ready for that expense:-)
