The meat thermometer caught fire in my oven.  :crazyeyes: whuh? SRSLY? The wire connecting to the read out gizmo melted to the metal. FAIL

How does that happen?? A thermometer combusts? Makes me feel better about the crap that happens to me in the kitchen. 
You might want to think about carrying a fire extinguisher on your person... :thumb:
