Favorite Treat:   Getting petted.  Zeke is one of the few dachshunds who is unmotivated by food...affection, though, is a whole different story.

Where I Sleep at Night:  In a crate with my sister Zora
I am a Hunter/Huntress -- Yes or No:  Yes.  I am a ferocious hunter (Dad here…Zeke is more like the Keystone Cops of hunters, all bark, no substance).
What I do when my Hoomans are away:   Zzzzzz

Story about me that my Hoomans would like to share:   We're pretty convinced that in their original home, their hoomans never passed gas.   Zeke is utterly terrified of farts and runs like heck when anyone passes gas, which seems to be a favored pastime in the Cohen household.   It's gotten to the point where when Zeke acts up, all we have to say is "Don't make me fart" and he stops his behavior.

Story that I want to share about my Hoomans:   For some reason, Dad thought that my barkday was May 12.   He's even posted on the WW Board that was my barkday.   When Dad got the license renewal papers for me this fall, he realized that he's had my barkday wrong.   My actual barkday is May 24, 2002.  We're still not sure where he got May 12th from.

I don't.   I'm not too surprised.  Max's former owners seldom checked in on him.  Giving up the Zs was very traumatic for Yamisi.  Sometimes it's easier to just shut those memories off than to have to reopen the wounds again.

I had a broder that was scared of farts. Every time he farted, he launched himself across the room. My hoomans used to roll on the floor laughing. Sometimes they was mean and used to give him yummies that would make him a little gassy.

Aww, that is mean.  Zeke isn't scared of his own farts, just hooman farts.   He takes off, and then sits down about 15 feet from you with a very insulted look on his face.

I had a friend who's chocolate lab was afraid of his OWN toots.  He'd pass gas then look back at his butt with a look of panic, like something had pinched him back there.  It's pretty funny to watch.

David his colour always has fasinated me, and has a stunning pose, peaceful. As for farts Angus used to get up look at you in disgust and walk away.

For Patty and Roberta, Zeke is considered a blue/tan.   However, his coat is so thin, that most of the time you see his grey skin pigment.   Zeke's sire was a straight blue and his dam looked just like Zora.   In person, he looks a bit more blue than the pictures indicate.   Zeke's color always attracts comments.   Even though Zora far more closely adheres to the breed standard, Zeke's color always makes him stand out.   Physically, Zeke is a bit misproportioned.  He has a giant front section followed by a teeny little caboose, and we have yet to find a dachsie with a larger set of ears!
