1.  Where do you live? In soon to be paved-over-completely Bucks County, in SE Pennsylvania

2.  Spouse?   DH Neil.  (sometimes it's dear heart and sometimes it's the other thing )

3.  Children? Uh, not that I know of…

4.  What do you do for a living?  I work in a local municipal government office.

5.  If you dare.....your age and describe yourself !  Blue eyes, honey-blond, 5’7”, 110 pounds. (That’s my story and I’m stickin’ with it.)

6.  What is your dream car/vehicle?   Right now I will take anything over the 1990 Honda with the 192,000 miles, no radio, no air conditioning, one seat belt POS that I am driving now.  If I could I would get an old-style VW Beetle.

7.  Other than your passion for dachshunds, what are your hobbies?  I love to garden and I have been so frustrated these last two years as we have had to “un-do” the yard in our new house.  NEXT SPRING I will be planting big time.  Also I have been doing genealogy research on both sides of the family.  Have gotten back to 1799!

8.  If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?  I do hate to fly, so until they invent teleporters, I will have to gaze lovingly at pictures of Scotland, Hawaii, Budapest, Seattle, Alaska, and a little village in SE Poland named Bialawoda, where my grandfather was from.

9.  Do you collect anything?  Not really, but over the years I have a nice collection of flower vases.

10.  Favorite Food/ Favorite junkfood:   I have a serious donut addiction.  My personal record at one sitting (OMG) is FIVE!!!! I swear there should be a 12-Step program for pastry.  :meme: Also my mother’s pierogi.  OH.  MY.  GAWD.

11.  Favorite Movie. Right now it is “Everything Is Illuminated” with Elijah Wood. It’s a Sundance winner.  Loved it so much I rented it again in the same month.  Great soundtrack, too.

12.  Favorite Color:  Green

13.  Favorite Song/Artist:  Annie Lenox’s  “Why” breaks my heart every time.  I swear that woman could sing the alphabet and make ya cry.

14.  Tell us a funny story about yourself:
Okay, ‘cause this one was such a laff riot when I originally posted ….
Last year DH and I went to the Philadelphia Flower Show.  So, we’re standing in the middle of the Civic Center, oooohing and ahhhing at the pretty flowers and totally surrounded by gray-haired old ladies wearing tweed. (And nuns"did I forget the nuns last time?)  I’m fumbling absent-mindely with something in my coat pocket and I’m thinking “WHAT the heck is this in my pocket?”  Just as my mind registers that they are the two packs of matches I picked up at the restaurant earlier, my honking coat pocket BURSTS INTO FLAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   I start flapping my hand (still inside the pocket) while going:  “S**t! S**t!!!!”  Finally I withdraw my hand (duh) and the now engulfed glove with it"and stomp out the glove on the floor. Aforementioned little old ladies look on in disgust.   Spent the train ride home with my hand in a Big Gulp cup fulla ice.  Two second degree burns and a bruised pride all so I could get DeeDee to blow soda through her nose.

15.  What is the most exciting thing you have ever done? I did climb Mt. Washington once, that was cool.  And soooooo long ago...

16.  If you won the lotto, what would you do with the money?  350 acres and a farm.  And STAFF!!!  And a cook!  And a pool boy!  And a Swedish masseuse named “Thor”.

17.  What are you most proud of?  Um, personal.

18.  Any other tidbits about you that you would like to share?  When I die I want to come back as my own dogs.  Whatta life, I’m tellin’ ya.

Shakespeare : "To thine own self be true."
Popeye:  "I yam wot I yam."

AND ya got me in tears again even though I've heard this already! LOL LOL LOL!!!! OH my gosh that story does lay me out flat. When I got to the "funny story about yourself" questions I thought oh gee...how is Les going to choose just one? LOL!!! This is your crowning glory though I have to say...

QuoteAnd a Swedish masseuse named “Thor”.

Ahhh...yeah a little eye candy around the house wouldn't hurt. Although my dream man named "Thor" is my cousins Friesian horse.  :rescue: Still waiting to find someone who loves me enough to buy me one!

I'm envious of your gardening skills! My flowers just wither up and die the minute I put them in the ground, they figure why waste time trying to fight it. Just get it over with quick. We'll be looking for garden pictures next year!!

You are an interesting and (at times) entertaining lady! :) And yes I think anyone would like to come back as one of your doxies. LOL. A grand life indeed! Love the picture, you have the most adorable kidz!! Give them a belly rub for us (just make sure no flint or matches are involved)  :thumb:

Loved your write up!  And reading the funny story again!  LOL!!!
Pierogis???  Yum!  What does your mom fill hers with?  We've always filled our with a potato and cheese mixture.  That is our traditional Christmas Eve dinner, ever since I could eat solid food.  Oooooooh, those would be really good to have around when I am recovering from my operation.

Leslie-  It was great hearing all about you!!   I too have a problem with matches.  LOL  Though mine was never self inflicted.   Since I had never heard that story I was rolling on the floor laughing.   How funny.  Happy POD!!
