Alex passed away early this morning. He was 16.5 years old.
Patty, I'm sorry to read this. I'm sure Clifford and Duncan are asking him what moose tastes like.
Thoughts go out to you, love to you both at this time...............\

It's doubly sad, not only because Alex was a longtime member of the WW family, but Alex's passing marks the end of an era. Alex and his brother Willy were part of the original Weiner Writings puppy class of 1998. We had the Potato Hounds, Mickey and Andy Rooney, Jadzia and Dax, Stevie Ray & Clapton, Frito and so many more. All have gone on to the Bridge, with Alex being the last surviving member. We literally watched Alex from puppyhood through his final journey to the Bridge. We know Alex is in wonderful company, not only with your dachsies Hansen, Christopher Robin, Harry, Misty and Willy, but all his WW friends and fellow puppers from that first class. Now that original bunch only live on in our hearts.
So very sorry for your loss hugs to you both may you meet again at rainbow bridge one day.
So sorry to hear this. Alex was here when I discovered the board. As David said, it's the end of an era.
We are so awfully sad to hear of your loss. He will be in excellent company at the Bridge and we know how lost both you and Dan will be without him. RIP sweet Alex, we will all miss you.
I have such find memories of Misty, Alex and Willy from my first days on the forum and have enjoyed so very much sharing your lives. Our hearts are with you now.
