Seems like no one is on Weiner Writings any more its a shame this was the best place no one argued everyone got along one day it will be gone no one will keep it going if no one comes any more. Very sad.
I agree, I don't do social media.
I suppose I am guilty of looking not contributing.
Well what are we doing...............well I am getting ready to compete in local shows with my other wee child Fergus...........Ollie helps but watching. He has a wee limp think it just age, Amy is grumbling along......about 16 months over her use by date.
The other day the temp got to 32 C and its only spring, both woofers hit the cold tiles. now to-morrow we are having a high of 13C get their blankies out.

I also check every day but don't post so often.
Not much happening. Parker is being a good boy as always NOT! He is going to be a dragon for Halloween. (We've been watching game of thrones). Parker likes the horses on the show.
Also getting ready to go to Toronto to see Les Mis. I will be taking the train and meeting my daughter there. She is taking the train from Ottawa. Parker will get to bond wih his Dad while I'm gone.
I think I'm going to kick start my shopping as well for Christmas.
Kelly (and Parker).
dis is Parker.....Mommy has been workin a lot lately an I'm stuck all by myself. Is also getting cold her in Canada. Don't like dis cold business at all. I can walk on water now. Momma put da safety cober on da pool so I can walk across da pool. It's a wittle squish, but fun when Amber chases me cause she is scared of da cover.

It's getting chilly in northern IL. Tuesday we had snow flurries but no accumulation. Hunter's coat is thick so he doesn't seem to mind. The concert band I play with is putting on a Halloween concert this Saturday afternoon. We are encouraged to dress appropriately for the occasion. I will be a pirate. To enhance the effect I got a pirate wig with dreadlocks. Monday night I figured I better make sure it would fit and also not get in my way while playing. I got it on and adjusted and walked into the living room. Hunter was lying on top of his blanket on the floor sucking on his blanket. I called his name and when he turned around his eyes bugged out and he jumped backwards then started yelling at the scary hairy thing that was in his living room. I didn't know dogs could jump like that :2funny:

I check every day, just don't post so much, even on facebook.
I may not check every day, but I check in more often the last couple of months than the 4 months before that. Many are on Facebook, and I am there usually twice a day. I have a section I call "dachsie friends" so when I click that, the people I know from my two wiener bbs show up there and it is quite a lot like posting here, so you don't have to be big into social media to connect, you just set up an account, make sure you have your settings to "friends only" so it limits who can see your posts, and I have to say I like it. I have reconnected with cousins I hadn't seen in 30 years, and even with some people I knew were cousins, but had never met them - which means I have a "family" section, too. Anyhow, I am here frequently - just not posting as much. :hello:
I don't check everyday either, but I do keep up with the board. I'm doing well and Hilde is too. She's not real fond of the winters up here, but does love my sister. All seems to be well for the time being. You just never know what's around the corner. Hope everyone is doing well, too.

I think we all check in on this board, because there are certain things that only fellow dachshund owners would understand.
The Zs are doing fine, both are on the cusp of senior weinerdom. Zora is 12 and Zeke is 11 now.
