I can't believe how much time I let slip by before I post anything. I need to make sure this page pops up all the time and I do better. It used to be the home page on my laptop so I saw it all the time, now, when I use my iPad, it doesn't work that way.
Things are finally settling down a little bit. Randy's dad is recovering better than the doctor ever expected from his broken hip. He is moving better than before he broke it. He has been out of inpatient rehab for about five weeks, so we are now back under one roof and In a routine again, Schatzi loves the evenings walks she gets with him and one of us.
The greatest thing to happen to Schatzi is she now has grass is in her backyard!! After six oaths of nothing but red dirt, we finally had sod put down two weeks ago. I have a video of her the first time she went out on it and it is priceless. I promise I will get it on YouTube and put a link on here very soon. Schatzi just said not to count on it for a few days since we are having several days of sunshine after months of rain. We have only had TWO completely rain free weekends all summer, very rare for us.
Hope everyone has a great week!
Hi Teresa. Glad things are settling down for you. This board has a very scarce attendance any more but I don't have the heart to change it as my homepage. I've been here since it was started, I think. It was more of a list back in the day. I have met so many people here with crazy wienerdogs and have had the pleasure of meeting quite a few of them (the dachsies AND people) in person too. I just can't let that go.
Glad to hear your still with us.I look in everyday.......I don't do facebook or twitter...............don't go there. I to miss the times of lots of us posting.
We are all well amy is still with us 21 months post diagnosis, we take everyday as it comes.....Olivers still a twat running like an idiot and loving life.

I generally check here a couple times a week and rarely check Facebook. I did join a Facebook group: Chicago Men in Kilts. Now I have a place to wear my kilt other than the Highland games and the Ren Faire. Guess I just need to get one with the plaid.
We are still around......Duggie has had adjustments this past year with Sarge's passing last October and then his "girlfriend" SpiceGirl (cocker spaniel) passing away in March. He has become a really affectionate furkid and is always by Dave or I. Reagan has become his pal and he really loves her...especially when it comes to food! And, she loves him a lot....the are each other's shadow when she is here. We had the summer off of watching Reagan during the week, however, she will be back with us during the weekdays starting Tuesday, 9/3. Hard to believe that she is now 2 years old! The time has flown by! We spent the summer getting the house spruced up.....painting the house, the decks, and now starting on the inside of the house to downsize our belongings. We are currently looking to put our place on the market and are actively searching for a new home. We have found a few that we like and will be looking at them this weekend. All are new construction and Dave will be doing a "test drive" with his mobility scooter to ensure that he can get around with it when needed. He is still mobile but does use a walker. We are looking to have no stairs/steps or very minimal. The places we have found are ranchers with only one step which is about 2 inches high....which can be fixed with a small ramp. We have been in this place for 16 years.......dee
Getting old and fat in east tennessee.
However my babies are doing well.
I usually check in several times a month now that I'm working again (love my clients, just hate that there are no benefits.) Always good to hear from our friends here.
