Hi everyone. Finally have a minute getting away from doing the fire district budget. I'm in a shoe (can only fit in a couple of wide ones) and using a cane now, so it is soooo good to have arms to use again. Of course it has been snowing like crazy the last week, so it is still a challenge to walk around in snow like this. Kleine is holding her own....she has to stay on prednisone or she worsens. She is on 5 mg a day and can stand up and wag her tail and take some steps (only on a carpeted/rug surface so we have rugs everywhere over our wood floors). She is really trying to be normal, the little trooper. After reviewing a lot of her medical records, they really did a number on her at CSU with that spinal tap. I finally found the specialist who did Schnitzel's neck disc...I only wish I could have found him sooner. He is in a part of Denver....and took her there for another opinion. Of course he said the complications she had at CSU made her worse, that he would have done the surgery differently, etc. Also, he thought he saw something on the myelogram at the site of her surgery back in May, but do we want to put her through another surgery after all she has been through?? Especially since he said she could get worse from it or the same thing could happen again.... so we are just holding fast for now. And of course someone went and slid into our new Xterra (that I can't drive now because it has a clutch) and dented the front of it.....I swear I just want to crawl in a cave until next year! :BangHead:
You poor thing. We will be sending you some major doxie rays that things improve in 2006 for you and your family.
Sending major rayz. 2004 was my year from h*#l and I know how you feel about just wanting it over.
I'm having a bad 2005 too, so I agree, bring on 2006 and lets hopefully both have a MUCH better year. I know you and I could both use a break from bad things happening to us.
You deserve a brand new year !!!!! Take care of yourself and hang in there for a few more weeks !
2002 was my year for a trip to hell and back.
I remember years ago, having this one bad month, it was the month of March. It was still only the 15th of the month but I changed the calendar over to April anyway. Sometimes you just gotta draw a line and say from this day forward, things WILL get better.
Sounds like poor Kleine was really put through the ringer. I'm sorry to hear that she is still on the medication, but its good to know there are things out there that can ease the pain. And tail-wagging is always a good sign.
Take it easy on that foot.
