I am so sorry to hear about Burt . The first time we used greenies one got lodged in my Minnies throat and had a terrible time getting it out needless to say no more GREENIES in this house
My puppers LOVE greenies, but after watching the news report that Terri posted and reading this article, there will be no more greenies in our house. I just won't take a chance with my puppers!
My dogs love Greenies and Kleine only has the Lil' Bits, which are totally shredded up Greenies. I can't imagine a dog choking on the Lil' Bits, so I will be switching to only those. You can sprinkle them on anything or just sprinkle them in their dishes.
I had just started letting Hallie have little nibbles of greenies as I held them, but after seeing the reports Terri posted too, I also will never feed greenies again.
Eileen be careful even with the lil bits. Many dogs aren't dying from choking on them, but from them clogging up their intestinal tract, which the lil bits can do as well if they get enough of them. A pekingese died at my vets clinic last week following surgery to remove a wad of greenie from her intestine, 24 hrs after she ate the greenie. You probably aren't feeding enough to clog up the kids but be careful not to give too much too close together. (that's the last thing you need after the year you had!)
