Title: Can I Run Away From Home?
Post by: BonniesMom on January 29, 2013, 07:57:21 AM
Oh yeah.  Got this stoopid cone on.  Can't move very fast and mommy would prolly see me go out the door.  She has an eagle eye, you know.  At least things are getting better----slowly.  Mommy and papa say I don't have to wear the dreaded innertube IF I am supervised.  I help by following mommy wherever she goes in the house....especially the kitchen.  At night, though, I still have to wear the dread thing and during the day when the hooparents are at werk.  Maybe one of my puppy friends can come over and break me out?  Please?

Lub,
Bonnie

Mommy talkin'....
The paw is looking better but I am cautious and keep telling her "One more week."  If she can keep away from it 100% for the rest of the week, then I think we're home free and no more tube.  She was funny last night.  She followed me everywhere and when I was loom knitting on the couch, she kept looking at me as if to say, "see mommy?  I'm leaving my footie alone."  At night, she's really been a trooper and takes her tube without any whining or whimpers and settles down quickly.  She can even scoot up her ramp in the middle of the night to deposit a wet cold nose on the back of my neck.

Love the bit about the cold nose on back of the neck.  Sounds familiar....
BTW I keep a bag of new born baby socks to put over poorly paws and they work pretty well, especially with a touch of micropore tape around the top.
Hope she is back on all four feet again soon.
