Beautiful! We still have the quilt that was made up for Jessica when she was born.
Oh, that's LOVELY Dee! What a talented and generous lady you are. You too, Dave. I'm sure you helped.
Beautiful quilt you do great work I'm sure it will do well.
My goodness that is absolutely gorgeous Dee, a wonderful and generous donation, it is sure to do very well indeed.
Dee lovely quilt, someone will be very very happy. So you do Applique........am doing one at present and it does my mind.
Roberta
ps David, some one made Jessica quilt to probably to be used.................use it, abuse it..........then its loved wanted and adored. As a quilt maker I find it hard when it is given and "put away for good" mine, they are made to be used and part of life, actually the more they are used the more supple they become, and thrills the heart of the maker when seen in any state as you know some one loves it.

Roberta, we so agree with you, my grandmother always said " use it, abuse it ( a little), just don't lose it".
stunning ! Fabulous !!! HUGE :comfort: :comfort:
Thank you so much !!!!
Trying to decide whether to raffle it, or auction it....
What do ya'll think?
Gee, I have two quilts made by my paternal grandmother, as well as an afghan in gray, orange, and yellow, and a throw in dark brown, beige, and cream. She liked to keep her hands busy so her arthritis didn't lock up her hands. One was chosen when all grandchildren were 18 or older, and one was given to me at my first semester in college - that one has pieces of leftover fabric from which I made many clothes in high school. My aunt Nancy made one for me about 8 years ago - with lots of green.
Are you hoping to raise a certain amount of money for Anipals, Barb? If you auction it (and I know the quality of Dee's sewing), make cure there is a minimum amount.
Dee - have you thought of offering us quilts at a price???? I love my purse!
