Read an article in Dog World or Dog Fancy years ago said to teach a dog where the steps are if you have a pool with steps. They said to put a flag by the steps because when a dog is in the pool they need a land mark to go to. You may already know all this they have ramps to put on the side of the pool for any animal can crawl out of the pool. They also have alarms that float in pools to let you know if a animal or child has fallen in the pool. Glad Peter Parker was saved and got cleaned up better get your water from a smaller bowl from now on.Does Parker have a life vest hope so can he swim with it on ?
Parker has always stayed clear of the pool. We used put a life jacket on him, however it's bulky and hot. We have also had him in it to make sure he can swim. He hates swimming. We don't let him in the back yard unsupervised ever when the pool is open just in case he falls in. This is the first time he has fallen in since we got him 5 years ago. We also have a side yard that's fenced for him so that he can be unsupervised. After he fell in, he made sure to stay clear of the edge lol.
OMD - I hear ya bud....
we gots one of dem big waterin' bowls too...and when de kids would swim....I would bark bark bark and watch over them.......
Now that the kids are grown.....I no go to the edge any more....I neber fell in though...... SO sorry you did !!! :comfort:
Mudder got a kiddy guard (the mesh fence to keep kids safe and out of the pool area), when Brandy came years ago, because she would just stand by the edge, and I, in my younger days, would run and run around the edge as fast as I could. Ma was afraid I would knock Brandy in.......
Sorry your mommy has to go back to the werk....ours goes almost every day....dats a bummer....
Your friend,
Rudy
