Title: New Harness for oLlie
Post by: Ruth in MT on August 23, 2012, 06:33:20 PM
Lupine offers to replace their products .... lifetime... even if chewed. This is the 3rd one that they have replaced for oLlie.
He likes to walk with a harness BUT if you leave it on him for 10 minutes without walking he takes it off by himself. They even replaced a Cherry Blossom pattern with the Wild West pattern.  Thanks Lupine.  www.LupinePet.com (http://www.LupinePet.com)

Auntie Ruth,

Don't ya now cherry blossom is for girls to wear and wild west is for boys, no wonder he gets rid of them.

..... the Cherry Blossom one belonged to eLlIe...... it was worn from use, but not chewed.  oLlIe didn't like her LadyBug one either.
Now he has a red Wild West pattern, and a flamboyant lime/green/purple Big Easy pattern.
(in this pic the harness looks blue/green/lime..... but it is really PURPLE/green/lime)

I may need to order one of these for Schatzi. She, too, will chew through a harness in a heartbeat. She also chews through retractable leashes if you aren't paying attention to her. If I am talking to someone, I better not make the mistake of thinking she is just sitting at my feet behaving!!
I like the Roman Harness since it doesn't look like it would hit the back of her front legs. That is the one area we always have trouble with, and with her habit of harness chewing, I haven't been able to convince myself to get her a custom made one yet.

Teresa,
This site offers the best price on Lupine that I have found.  I have ordered from them a couple of times.

Thanks, Ruth. Is Ollie's the Roman style or the "H" style? The only difference seems to be the extra piece on the bottom between the two pieces. I am definitely going to order one for Schatzi this week. Now, I just have to decide which one I want!

We use the Roman style.  I started to use one with eLlIe and it the only kind we used for her 8 years.  Ellie weighed about 12 lbs. and Ollie about 14.  I had the same size for both,  1/2 in. and 12-20.  I tried the 3/4 for Ollie but that size was too heavy.

ALMOST a month ....... the little twerp chewed the red Wild West harness.  Still useable, and I will wait awhile before I return it ..... they will put us on a "bad risk" list .
