It has suddenly got very warm and humid here AND mama can't put on the A/C. Dose stupid skwerls want to get in the house so mama says no A/C. I'm gonna get dat critter if it takes me all summer.

A few years ago I bought a portable A/C that connects to the window through a vent and hose system. We usually don't have problems with critters trying to get into the window, but this year we have a very persistent squirrel who wants to come in the worse way. She has been hanging around every window in the house - I think she likes to annoy Danni - and seems to want to come in. Unfortunately that means I can't put up the A/C this year. There is no screen on the window never has been and I don't even know where it is. The good thing is that this unit also works as a dehumidifier and so I am using that for right now. They say it will get cooler and less humid later today, so things may get better for Danni's sake.
This sounds like a dachsie support emergency situation.
We cannot have two ladies suffering heat in their own home because of a terrorist squirrel.
It is complicated for us to get credit cards or cash to pay for flights and fly over the Mediterranean and Atlantic fast enough to save you up there by the Great Lakes.
Can the dachshund U.S of A task force step in here to help two ladies in need?

I don't want to sound like I'm telling you what to do but I just looked at www.lowes.com and there's an air conditioner for 299.00 that is portable and I think sits on the floor!
Marcia, you should be able to get a replacement screen for your window pretty inexpensively and that would solve the squirrel problem so you can put in the air conditioning unit. I hate to think of you guys suffering all summer.
We concur - get a new screen :thumb: Too durn hot with no AC..... we no want you to melt !!!!!
