Hi you guys. We had to take Willy to the vet this evening to be put to sleep. These past two days he starting shutting down. We didn't want him to suffer or go into kidney failure so we did the right thing by him. I doubt he would have made it thru the night. His quality of life was going downhill fast. I'm numb, it happened so fast. I will miss that ornery little guy.
Patty I'm so sorry and sad to hear about Willy...my thoughts are with you...hugs to you
Cheryl

Oh Patty, I;m in tears...........it seems so sudden. Go to God wee man and watch over your family.
All our love and hugs Roberta Nick and the monsters
I was just heading off to bed when I decided to open WW up one more time. What a shock to see this. So very very sorry for your loss.....the Wiener Writings Family's loss. He sure looked a lot like our Maddie, that's for sure. My heart cries with you. What sad news. May the memories of Willy make you smile.
We are so very sorry for your loss. We will all miss him very much indeed but know Misty and all the others will have been there to welcome him after you so bravely helped him on his last journey.
Our love and hugs to you and to Dan and a special snuggle for Alex. We hope time will soften the blow and happy memories will replace the pain.
Oh Patty I am so sorry.
We are so sorry about Willy. Willy was part of that legendary original puppy class of '98...the first pups on the WW Board. We literally watched his entire life cycle from puppyhood to senior weinerdom unfold before us on the postings of this forum. Now we bear witness for his final journey to the Rainbow Bridge. I feel like I lost one of my own...for a pupper that I never met in person. That is the kind of hold that Willy had on us. Rays and prayers to you, Dan and Alex. Please take comfort that Willy is in great company up there with Hansen, Christopher Robin, Harry and Misty...and the dozens of other puppers that we've seen make that final journey, including my own Rudy & Max. I do hope the pain of his passing will soon fade so that only the happy memories remain.

I'm so sorry for your loss. May Willy run free and healthy again at the bridge.
How is Alex handling the loss? I know the two of them were littermates and lifelong companions.
So very sorry for your great loss Hugs to you both and Alex may Willy Rest in Peace.
awwww. What a sucker punch. I can't add anything to make you feel better. But I am thinking of you both. He will really be missed.
Very sad to hear this. As David said we've known Willy as long as we have know about this board. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and Alex.
May the joy of Willy's life ease the grief you feel now. Fare thee well little man.
My belated condolences to you and Dan over Willy's passing. The years we have are never enough. I have a great children's book about dogs in Heaven, and God hides behind trees and tosses treats. Brekke sends you special greetings, and a soft little "woof".
So sorry to hear about Willie.
I know you are all going to really miss him.
After Having 3 all those years and now just one it is so strange.

Thanks David for mentioning the other four doxies that Willy has now joined. We miss him SO much. Alex is doing well, much better than I am. I am thankful that Alex is not confused and hurting. I haven't been on this board much lately, and have missed a lot of the passings, and I am sorry I haven't been there for you guys. You guys are the only ones who really understand what its like to lose one of these little guys and gals, and I am thankful for all of you.
I am so sorry for your loss that sucks. I know that has to hurt so much. I don't know what I would do without my Romeo. I am so sorry and praying for you and your family. :comfort: :comfort: :comfort: :comfort:
Thanks, you guys, as always you are there for me when I need you most, and I love you all for it.
:comfort: I recently read something: G-d sends souls on Earth to spend their lives perfecting themselves. Dogs are already so much closer to perfect that they don't have to spend as much time here on Earth.
Guinness is etting older and older and I dread the day I know will come. In the meanwhile, I will give him an extra hug for Willy.
