Title: Taffy sat still for 2 seconds
Post by: Jacqueline on November 29, 2005, 12:09:55 PM
and I actually got her photo.   :apls: :apls: :apls:

I have to say, people are a lot easier, lol.  At least they PRETEND to pay attention to what you are telling them what to do, and you don't have to wave toys over your head....usually.  Scenery is the best  :thumb:  It pretty much doesn't wander off, demand treats, argue with you or have to go out for potty breaks.

We took Taffy to the beach, where she was NOT supposed to be running loose on the sand...and of course, can't hold the leash and take photos too....and keep one eye out for the guy who said she couldn't be on the beach.  She had a great time for the 10 minutes I let her get down in the sand.  She got us all covered with sand, of course.   I know we have beaches somewhere down here that allow doggies, so will have to find one.

We also went over to Ding Darling on Sanibel, and she got to see white pelicans, anhingas, little and great blues, racoons, all sorts of interesting things....and barked at none of them.  She is a good nature companion.  She let me take photos without shaking my arm.  The only thing she even showed interest in chasing were the tiny lizards.  Everyone who saw her just had to stop and tell her how adorable she is...and who could argue?

OH my goodness!  She is a doll!  I have a soft spot for the choc/tans and that face!  She looks like she's getting ready to pounce on something/one!  Surely she got a treat for that!

Dogs are allowed on Sanibel beaches while leashed.  There is one somewhere that is leash free, but can't remember where.  Ask tourist info?

Great pic!

She is an absolute doll. I'm impressed with the picture. I think you did a great job. Taffy needs to meet Sue's Kirby. She reminds me a lot of him. How old is she?

SHe's 11 months old, but don't know what her exact birthday is.  We may just pick one of the few days in December that isn't already claimed by some other member of the family.  She seems to be still teething....on rawhides....her basket, us....

She chewed thru her brand new harness.  Mommy was not amused  :doah:  She was wearing it at the time, too.  Now we ahve to go get another one, and maybe a little bottle of bitter apple.

I'm going to try to wear her out a little more tomorrow and shoot some more photos.  She's a challenege, lol.

darling little girl!!  I hope there are many more pictures coming!

Never taken mine to a beach - not sure which ones permit dogs (we live in FL too).
