Cuz she spend over a hunnert dollies on me today. I'm being told that I'm getting a RAMP! This will be so that I stop jumping on the bed and jumping down. Hmmmm. Shall I be a stubborn weener dog and refuse to use it?
Here's what it looks like----
Mommy here. We tried a set of steps that we got at PetSmart this weekend. I don't know. They kind of scare me and she just won't use them! They are wood so they make noise when she steps on them. That scares her so she backs off. It's just a recent thing that Bonnie has decided that she wants in bed with us but not all the time. She might start in her bed then want ours then want down and then up again. I hope we're not getting into a dementia thing like with Madderoo. So, I'm hoping that she will get used to this ramp. If so, it will be money well spent. I just can't have her flying off the bed and landing on the hard floor.
UPDATE (Monday) Just to be perverse, Bonnie scampered up the steps in the middle of the night onto the bed. Mommy is still skart of them, though. I think a ramp will be a safer way of transport from floor to bed and back.
Hopefully The Ramp will be here in about 2 weeks. I'm returning the steps sometime before then.
That 's a great looking ramp, you're sure to get the hang of it quickly, a trail of treats from bottom to top would make it even more attractive....
YAY for the ramp !!! Looks very much like the one my ex made for Ru and Bran...which is still in place and all of them scamper up and down it ! I think the ramps are easily than the steps...jmo - since it is a flat surface. Where did you get it?
Hey Bonnie.......your new ramp looks like the one that Mom and Dad built and carpeted for us! We loves the ramp to the big bed! Sarge and Duggie
A question for Sarge and Duggie. When you go on your ramp, do you approach in "sideways" like the doggy (not included in my ramp) in the picture or do you scamper up it head on onto the bed? Inquiring dachsies want to know.

We go for it head on to the "landing" area of the ramp and onto the bed.....go down the same way...head on! Sometimes, Duggie will head for the ramp at a run and "hop" on to the bed before gettting to the landing area but he is almost always close to the top. Sarge, being the senior takes his time and struts up and down the ramp....he is never in a hurry anymore! Sarge and Duggie
Thank you Sarge and Duggie for Ramping 101. :hello2:
Bonnie
Our ramp has no landing area so we take it straight on forwards every time. Works a treat.
Thank you Islay and Red. I sure hope my Bonnie doesn't pull the stubborn dachshund trick and refuse to use it. :nana:

Aunt Sandy all you have to do is make a trail of kibble up the ramp & Bonnie will follow. It worked for me.

We are with Danni and Aunty Marcia too. That is how our Mummy decorated our ramp too. Come to think of it, that's how Mummy got us to jump into the shower when she opens the door....and to wait on the entrance mat for our pawsies and undercarriages to be cleaned before we run in...and to bring her the telephone when it rings....Hmmmmm maybe Mummy is onto something.
